Five layers of vetting, plain-English policies, and a real human at the other end of the line.

Layer 01

Identity verification

Every helper completes a government ID + selfie match before they can apply to any job. The match is reviewed by our trust team, not just an algorithm.

If a helper changes their photo or profile in suspicious ways, they re-verify. We don't take their word for it.

Layer 02

Background checks

The standard check — county criminal records and the national sex-offender registry — runs on every helper at signup, and again every 12 months. Helpers can't apply until it clears.

The Premium check (included with Pro, or pay-per-check at $19) adds federal criminal records, motor vehicle records, and an investigative search by a licensed PI partner. It's the same depth a thorough employer would run.

Layer 03

Reviews you can actually trust

Only verified hires can leave reviews. We don't seed reviews, we don't pay for them, and we don't let helpers (or households) edit reviews after they're posted.

Layer 04

Secure messaging & payments

All chat happens in-app. Phone numbers, emails, and home addresses stay private until you choose to hire someone.

Payments run through Stripe. Helpers are paid out weekly via direct deposit. Receipts are automatic. Insurance covers every booking.

Layer 05

24/7 safety hotline

A real human, anytime, for anything that feels off. Mid-visit weirdness, a missed shift, a profile that doesn't match the person at the door.

There's also a 1-tap "I need help" button in the app. It pages our trust team and, if you ask it to, your local non-emergency line.
